need a p226 .22lr barrel replacement + firing pin

Hey guys

Gotta sig p226 .22lr that works really well...

BUT its getting SHOT ALOT recently and i lost the round count a good time ago..

I would say it already has a couple thousand rounds. How many rounds i could shoot before needing a new barrel? 10k? or more?

And on top of that every time the mag is empty the gun doesnt stay open.. So 10 rounds then the 11th shot is always a dry fire.. i heard its really not good on rimfire guns to dry fire. Looks like i can't avoid it unless i check the chamber when i guess i already shot 10 rounds.

should i be looking for a firing pin while being at it?

There are follower upgrades which you can get for the mags, as well as mags you can purchase which will hold it open after the last shot. Check out Gsdesigns online. Myself, i just pop a snap cap in each mag. That will at least stop the dry fire.
