Hey all, just getting into reloading and having a hard time finding bullets both cast and jacketed in 405gr for the 45/70 local in Edmonton. Really interested in 405gr as I have been trying most factory loads and would like to play around with it.

Have looked at bullet barn but they don't show a jacketed bullet in 405gr.

Just wondering where everybody orders there supplies from.

Thanks

X-Reload has a good selection of .458" bullets.http://www.x-reload.com/45-caliber-457-459/?sort=featured&page=1

Yah thinking of buying cast from bullet barn but also looking for some jacketed bullets as well which are the ones that seem to be hard to find been looking for (Remington) Maybe some of you experienced guys can recommend another good 405gr jacketed that has worked out good. (Looking at jacketed for hunting)

So you don't like the Remington 405gr jacketed soft point bullets that they have in stock right now? Alrighty then, have fun.

Check Budget shooter supply; banner up top.

Yeah but he's fussy and wants jacketed 405 grains.

I was satisfied with the lead cast 405 grain Missouri Bullets from budget. I don't feel the need to shot a 405 grain bullet at 2000 FPS. If I was going over 1500 FPS I'd probably use some gas checks.

The Berry's Jacketed 350gr should be good for hunting if hotter loads are wanted.

Well thanks hadn't noticed the remington 405gr on x-reload before my last post. And am also go to shoot cast which will be most of my shooting and jacketed for hunting. Cast is just easy to find.

Oh has nothing to do with being fussy just trying to replicate the remington factory 405gr loads but maybe bump them up a bit and see how it works out
