Are you being careful with your scent and concealment? Yotes can see and smell you from a mile. When I'm off after Yotes I wash all my clothes that I'm going to wear in scentless soap and shower before I go with scentless soap. Yote urine is useful too, spray on the bottom of your boots before you start walking around near the target area.
 
Lol I do the poop rub, cattle poop my camo (Crocodile Arc'tyrc) I also was behind a wood blind on the back side of the barn with the sun rising behind me. You couldn't see anything in that direction at all. Also had 39 head of cattle masking smells.

Like I said I'm new to Yotes so maybe I need to work out something diffrent for sent, works for most other animals though.

Sounds like you've got that covered then! Maybe the yotes were just having a day off ;)
