Over the years, i have bought many handguns, almost 2/3 have found a good home, but now, i am getting around the start of a little collection...

The way i see a collection is rarety, charisma, model...

So far i have 5 that i could consider the base of my collection, to those, somewere in the summer a Korth Combat 357 mag will join the group...
Took a picture for the pleasure of the eye...
From top...
S&W Model 29 44 MAG, a classic to own...
From the Colt custom shop SCG 45 1911 Model 01970CY, could be one of the only in Canada... Still unfired
Glock G19 Gen 4 Battefield Green with regular LW 106mm barrel... I am very proud of this one, this is my best shooting Glock...
Les Baer Premier ll, my first custom 1911, and to this day, still my most accurate pistol... Never to be sold...
Colt 3th generation 45LC SAA 1 of 300 Model Longbranch based on Bat Masterton historical request, a lot of history in this one... Unfired...

Enjoy... JP.

JP, being you only have one pistol and only one Glock, it only makes sense that your G19 is the best shooting Glock you have, LOL! :D

if I may ask, what did the G19 g4 cost you with the LW barrel? I've seen a few picks of the same kit but SS barrel and that lil nubbin sticking out the front is damned attractive! I'm thinking about getting something like that in the MOS model. :)

I have 6 Glocks overall G17 gen 4/ G17L gen 3/ G19 gen 4/ G22 gen 3/ G20 gen3/ G21 gen 4/... The G19 Gen 4 really shine over the other Glocks, it's like it's a completely different handgun...

My G19 Gen 4 was expensive i have to admit, but i had to buy it, paid 1275.00 all in for it with the LW barrel... JP.

ahh...so there is more than just the 5! ;)

did the G19 come with the LW barrel or did you have to upgrade it yourself?

what makes you like it more than the your gen 4 G17?

Grip in hand, almost a copycat with my LB custom and trigger is very good of the bat, in all my Glocks i have installed the 3.5 pounds connector and spring...
My G19 gen 4 is great this way, i wont be installing it in it...
All toghether i have 15 handguns left but there only 5, i consider untouchable/collection... JP.

Very nice! I've got only a couple myself that I consider genuine keepers, but it's another nice little "hobby within a hobby" to grow a select group that you want to add to a long term collection. And yes, hope to add a Korth too one day :) .

Very Nice!! I consider myself more of a rifleman but that pic makes me consider a nice revolver to go with the P85 & CZ97!! Even one eyed, wooden leg hooker look of the Glock has an odd appeal...... S&W 69 will be first tho! Congrats on a fine assemblage!

what do you classify as 'collectible' JP? there have been some WWI original issue 1911's on the EE lastely.

An example is my Custom Colt CSG 1911, not seen often, it fit what i call collectable...

My firearms even if i want them to be special will all be fired and used, so old firearms may not fit in my collection... JP.

I am honestly surprised not to see a SIG P210 yet JP?

9mm is a caliber that doesnt excite me much, i was caught off gard by the G19 Gen 4 stellar performance, that make it a keeper, i will be attract more by 44/45/357 of the bat...

For now i dont plan getting more 9mm handgun... JP.

Judging from your posts....I'm guessing you're being conservative about your collection.....but as a sub collection of 'keepers' .....nice..I'm sure there will be many more...

I know the feeling JP. Probably owned over 400 handguns in the last 20 yrs or so. I'm now left with what I consider "a collection" of very fine pistols & revolvers that I hope to keep for a long while. There's a lot of handguns that I consider to be collectible for a whole lots of reasons but I personally think that a serious collection won't be complete without at least one Swiss Luger and one Swiss P210.

1911 are great in hand, more than ever after discovering how well the G19 fit in hand, i realised the superior concept of JB... JP.

Some great quality stuff there for sure.

The good thing about a collection is that it can be whatever you want it to be. For me personally, I could never limit myself to new production guns, as there are just too many unique, historically significant, and in many cases, superior firearms (imo) that have been discontinued. But those are the themes I find collectible.

Nice collection there JP, I love that SAA. What I find interesting about collecting guns is how tastes change over time. I can remember I was down in Southern US visiting friends and a friend of a friend walked me into his gun room/vault. There were civil war pieces, SAA's, historical 1911's, just everything. At the time I was new to handguns and all I had was a G20 so of course I ask "so do you have any glocks". He was very polite about saying no and looking back at it now I just laugh at the thought. What I wouldn't do to get back in that gun room now. At that point I didn't have a clue but even as you learn I find tastes evolve. For example I picked up a 1066 many years ago and just hated it. I swore off S&W autos until I started shooting a Colt 1911 38 mid range which got me interested in the S&W 52's. Had I stuck to my vow of no more S&W autos I never would have had the joy of picking up a 52-1 that is just an absolutely amazing piece. I guess what I've learned is to keep an open mind and never say never.
