8mm x 57 SPAISH MOUSER

Is a Spanish Mouser a rifle specifically designed to kill small rodents?

Silly, you have never heard of a Spanish Mouser?

I am sure more people are aware of the Spanish Mauser which is quite a bit more common.

The part that confuses me is what a SPAISH Mouser is ....

In all seriousness there is NO way to evaluate the value of a common rifle like a generic "Spanish Mauser". Is is a '98 or a '93 ? What is the exterior condition? What's the bore like? As mentioned several in-focus picture would be required to hazard a guess.

Sight unseen I would offer you $30.00 shipped if you offered on the EE. On the other hand it may be a rare variant and could be worth a few hundred dollars.

This one has no real markings on it. The receiver stamp looks like an eagle with square wings. It is stamped 7.92 (p) (r) I think. Should look at it again. The stock has been cut back and the bolt has been turned down and slightly bent rearward. I did see a picture of that same look on GOOGLE search but couldn't get any info on it. If some one would like me to send you a picture, you could give me a mail address and I would send lots of it if you want. PS, I am not trying to sell it, I got it on a trade and really like it and thought I could get some info. |THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP.

Sounds like a Spanish Air Force rifle that someone modified. The serial number should start with "EA". These are supposed to have started as German or Polish rifles that were reworked in Spain. Value is not high, maybe $250 if the bore is nice.
