Will these have metal trigger guards?
The front bead on the image seems to be green fiber?
Is the receiver drilled and tapped to accept a rail?

A lot of guys down south replace their 870p triggers with the polymer ones. Lighter and don't seem to break. We have a couple at work with polymer triggers with 30,000+ rounds through them that havn't had an issue. Extractors burnt out at around 5k, police replacement where 20 bucks and haven't had a hiccup since.

Albeit if I want a glock'ish shotty I am going Supernova Tac.
Oh well - guess I'll save to a 870P or 590A1 - I'm a snob.

On your site there are REM81197 and REM25559 "Home Defense" models listed for <$500.

Other than sights, what would the differences be?
Also wondering if these have a tapped upper receiver and if they are still avail. to order?

I picked up on that too.

No difference other than the rifled sights and fixed cylinder bore.
The home defense has a bead sight and fixed IC bore.

These are still available to order for sure! Just shoot us an E-mail.
Sights are the main difference, also this model is not offered from Remington as a standard configuration.
