P320: my new favourite

I got my new P320 in the mail a little while back from Bullseye. I've been enjoying dry firing it, but finally got time to hit the range. I put 220 down range with it, and my goodness is it good!

I'm not an accurate shooter, but this is by far the best I've ever shot. I've owned many P226's, P220's, Glocks, 1911's, revolvers, etc., but I shot my best with this. It has a really nice trigger. We've got a lineup of (6"?) steel plates at 10m at the range. I'm generally a 6-7/10 shooter on them. Today I was shooting 8 and 9/10 consistently, and scored my first ever 10/10. So I'm really pleased with it :)

I did a 20 round group at 10m. You can tell I'm not too great a shooter, but I'm pretty excited about this group. All 20 on target, with a lot clustering in the middle, but still need some work on not hitting bottom right.

I've absolutely found my new 3 gun pistol! Who else is really happy with their P320?

 
I don' t use mine a whole lot, but I agree it's a very nice pistol - just prefer the heavier all metal pistols.

I found it to be pretty well balanced, not quite as well as something like a Glock 19, but still nice. Recoil was light, muzzle flip seemed similar to my other Sigs, which is maybe a bit more than Glock?
 
there was also a good review of the P320 in Calibre. it's the editors duty gun and shoots better than he can, so he says. of course, that's a common sentiment when it comes to one's skill with a tool, LOL! :rolleyes:
 
I just got back from the NRA convention in Louisville and while we were there I got a chance to handle the 320. We spoke to the head instructor at the Sig training school and he gave us a complete rundown on the gun. He said he bought three, one for himself, one for his wife and one for his mother. For a striker pistol it has a very nice trigger. The way you can quickly change frame sizes and accessories via the removable trigger group is really quite brilliant. I have fired my friend's Sig 250 and was so-so about it due to the long trigger pull but if I was in the market for a striker fired gun I would seriously have to look at this one.
 
Still enjoying mine. Roughly 3000 rounds though it.
Trigger was on the gritty side of tolerable, and with use and a dab of grease has become quite good for a striker fired gun.
SIG wants you to use TW25b, but I found that sticking with regular machinery grease works just fine. Apply it with a syringe.
I have found it shoots high for my point of aim. Just fine for IPSC, but a replacement sight set is on its way.
