Reloading .40 s&w

Cabelas is uber-expensive for powder shipping no matter where you are. Budget Shooter Supply has had very reasonable rates but they're about as far away from you as you can get. Check Bullseye in London and X-Reload in Quebec as well. The powder might cost more but shipping might be less because they are way closer.

What do you guys usually pay for powder and shipping? What would be considered a good price? Because ive never bought it before I don't know what would be considered a good price

I'm used to $35-45 per lb depending what and from who and shipping has run from free to $25 for up to 10lbs.

Any Glock reloaders here reload lead boolits with their stock barrels? Been reading a lot of negative things with guys shooting lead in the stock polygonal rifled barrel.

Carbide dies do not require case lube for sizing.
For pistol they are the best choice.

You should consider downloading or buying some reloading books.
Lymans 49th edition is great.
Hodgdons 2016 manual has more loads listed than the website brigs up.
I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of my head.

Consider? I don't see it as optional. Buy a couple of the better reloading manuals and read the first 100 pages or so of each, right up to where the data portions start. Once you are done, read them again. Keep them handy to refer to, not only for the data sheets but for the subtle information you missed or have forgotten when reading the reloading pages. I have the Speer, Sierra and Hornady manuals open on my desk by my reloading bench at all times. Mostly they are open to the pertinent data tables, not that I need them, but they are like a quick safety meeting to glance at prior to starting. I do refer to the reloading portion of the manuals from time to time when inspecting brass. Some signs of failure are subtle to say the least. I try to be as meticulous as possible when reloading, after all, a mistake can cost one dearly. A little care and caution takes virtually no time but the overall safe creation of excellent ammunition is paramount.
