I love the look of the Bolton Paul P111A and the P120. It probably didn't have much engineering advantage otherwise we would see more of that flat oval intake design in the skies today. Still it looks cool.
 
The English Electric P1 saw squadron service. Saw them at RAF Gutersloh in Germany.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the "Dam Busters" raid, a P1 made the run over the Mohne Dam (just 5 kms from 4CMBG HQ) and did the usual Victory Roll over Fort Henry with his afterburner on. This was considered bad for Anglo/Canadian/German PR.

Officers boiled out of the head shed screaming - "Get the ID of that aircraft!". The response of the troops was - "What aircraft, Sir?"

My personal favourite was the run done by a Canberra.

That would have been the actual Production version of the P1 prototypes, the F1-F6 models.
