I'll explain later, have to go out...

Just finished my SA20 today. Pretty pumped. It's been a while since I shot the C7... Can't wait to go to the range and get re-aquatinted with my old friend.

I'm not sure what to do with the IUR...I was thinking about doing it like the Danish M-10 service rifle:

If I wanted the lower to match the upper, could I get it re-anodized? Any thoughts/experience on that?
Maybe someone here can tell me where I can get my hands on a Colt Canada folding front sight post. I've seen them on a few CC rifles but can't find them anywhere. And what do they use for the rear BUIS?

All the best!

I've heard of some guys soaking their lowers in CLP for a few weeks and it darkened up the finish pretty nicelt, but even our C7A2s have different color upper and lowers.

Almost exact clone of my brothers issued C8A3 CQB he used in Afghanistan with the same accessories he used (non issued). All Colt Canada except the barrel is Colt USA :( so its slightly longer and missing the bayonette lug

Hey cool thanks I'll look into it. I'm not so worried about the SA20... More so for the IUR. Mine shipped with a black upper and gray lower! There is a really big difference there.

Lol, I know, my IUR was totally black and my CC stripped lower looked almost white in comparison. I soaked mine in G96 for three weeks, and it darkened it up, but I think CLP might get it darker.

My god!

Steve

I know right? That's an impressive collection.

Can I play? Here's mine. Yes, I know the Cadex foregrip is on backwards. When mounted correctly the mounting screw has a sharp edge to it that digs into the palm of my left hand. Turning it backwards fixes that. It also lets me mount it further forward without having the sling mount get in the way. It's also a great carry handle this way.
