I popped into my LGS to pick up some Campro bullets. They had the 45 ACP but no 38 spec wadcutters. I looked around and found a old box of Canadian Tire 12 gauge. Cool! I remember these.
I went to the cash to pay and asked the fella if they had any 38 spec bullets around. He digs up some old boxes of CIL and Dominion bullets.
I bought these, more for the cool factor than any thing else. The box says they are 158gr and are "type MP".
Anybody know what MP type is? Military & Police? Metal Point? The box looks brand new btw. Any boxes of old Canadian ammo/bullets I should keep an eye out for? To shoot and/or collect. Any help would be appreciated. And I can pick something up for CGNers who ask nice.

MP in this case is for "metal point" however they must be loaded just like pure lead bullets as that is what the rest of the bullet is..............shot 1000s of them out of my 357 when I was a kid.

Thanks for the info. I was going to keep them on the shelf in my reloading room, but now think I'll load them and shoot them in my blackhawk.
