Sig Sauer nightmare 1911 45acp any thoughts?

Caramel had one.

Can't go wrong with the Sig 1911s. Polished feed ramps, nice snug fitted slide and bushing with a match grade barrel and crisp trigger. I love my Target model and would have bought the Nightmare had they been in stock at the time.

Yes, I can relate to this. It was the nightmare vs the sw1911ta. I mulled that over for months. Finally, I let the wifey decide. lol. She liked both but liked the rosewood coloured grips on the smith just that little bit more.
SW1911TA ftw. It's a gorgeous gun.
Good luck!
Post piks when you decide.

I personally don't like the Nightmare grip frame but that's just a matter of taste. I've owned three SIG 1911s and have liked all three very much--the trigger pulls on all of them were excellent. I wouldn't worry about the Series 80 thing one bit.

I am looking to get into a 1911 45 and have taken a liking to the sig nightmare. Does anyone have any experience with one of these? I have a few 9mm and am looking to move up. Pros and cons of the nightmare?

I personally have owned a Nightmare Carry for three years. The first year I was a bit upset with it. The ejected cases would randomly shoot straight back and hit me in the forehead. After about 1,000 rounds (give or take), it ejected normally.
What got me through the first year of spent case "tea bagging" was the shear accuracy; tack driver.

I'm sure I'm an isolated case, but all in all this gun is amazing and I can only imagine that the full size model is even more precise. Get one!
