what's your favorite .22LR ammo?

I've had great accuracy with CCI Standard and SK Magazine in my DAR-22. Winchester M22 is my buik budget alternative. I just picked up some Aquila standard velocity to try out but haven't had the chance yet.

Depends on my rifle... My Anschutz 54 likes Lapua Centre - X, and my Remington 541-T tested best with RWS Special Match. I tried about 10 different match variants with each. YMMV...

CCI Standard Velocity 40gn seems to be the ideal food for my most of my rimfires

CCI Quiet's are fun for plinking without muffs or when around the family.

CCI for the win!

I hate Remington Thunderbolt...and I'm stuck with close to 5000 rounds.

got a guy trading me 500 rounds of 9mm for half of my Thunderbolt, so anyone in Vancouver interested, lemme know.

Mid grade stuff

CCI AR TAC seems best performance for me of that brand, I have 10-12 different CCI loads on hand. Also like Velocitors as you can feel the recoil a bit, lol. and the Short Target shoots good too. Green Tag is way overpriced now.
Aguila red box is good accuracy and reliable as well and like the smell.

For bulk type stuff Fed Automatch and CCI Blazers

This year have been getting some higher end target stuff and like RWS champ edition, SK std+ and rifle match, Lapua center-x as the prices of regular type stuff are getting a bit higher than I like.

Ya, for the price we're starting to pay for the "cheap" stuff, it makes it worth while to spend an extra buck or two for the good stuff.

"what's your favorite .22LR ammo?"
It depends on what it's used for. If accuracy is paramount, it's always necessary to use match grade ammo at distances beyond 30 yards or so; no bulk ammo produces great accuracy, unless minute of pop can defines accuracy. When punching paper at relatively short distances, it's hard for most any ammo to go terribly wrong. But when shooting at 50 yards, it is necessary to use the better stuff.

Yup x 2 50 + yds needs good ammo not always bulk stuff. Some subsonic is good out to 50 yds and beyond.

So far its been Center-X for paper and CCI subsonic LR HP's for critters.

Both beyond 50yds.

But who knows, I haven't tried everything out there yet!
