Remington Model 600?

I saw a rifle at a local shop today that I hadn't heard of before, as the title states it was a Remington Model 600 in .243, bolt action. It had a carbine type barrel with a vented rib and I'm curious if anyone knows anything about these guns? I googled it but nothing came up, any possible dollar value would be appreciated as well, thanks!

Double Gun is correct, no doubt you were looking at a Model 600.

If it's a decent price (around $500'ish) good shape and you are interested in a carbine in 243 it's a great gun imo.
 
Maybe it was a 600, I'll have to check next time I'm there. I will change the title too.
Thanks guys just checked it out, it is a 600. It is in very good condition with an older Glenfield scope so can anyone give me an approximate value? Just a ballpark idea is fine.

Without the scope ... maybe between $5-600 ? The original 600's command a bit more than the other two models if I'm not mistaken. With the scope, rings etc. I can't say.
