I'm on the other side of the country an I concur.
I thought CanAm would use Canada Post for packages that don't contain ammos (that's the only thing they can't carry), or at least for packages that don't contain guns or ammos, but last time I ordered 3 mags and CanPar delivered those. Luckily I was still home when the delivery guy arrived. If I miss the delivery guy I might as well call them and ask them to ship me my stuff by any other courrier.
Honestly canam, any package that doesn't HAVE to be shipped by canpar should be shipped by any other way. I understand you don' have a choice for ammos, but please, if you can avoid canpar, do it. UPS, Canada Post, FedEx, Purolator are all fine. DHL blows as much as CanPar.
CanPar and DHL are both targeting the Buisness to Buisness market, not the consumers. They basically expect you to be available at 11:00 or at 14:30 to receive a package. That's ok if you're a buisness, but completely unreasonnable if you're the average 9-to-5er.
