Improved Canpar delivery coming soon

Last time I had a Canpar delivery it went something like this. Driver pulls up. Grabs package. Hands it to me. I sign for it. Then he practially yells so loud the entire neighbourhood can hear it "What's in the box? A gun?"

When I pay Canpar to be 21 Jumpstreet, I will let them know.

I'm not impressed with it. After being given the wrong pick up warehouse address initially, I turned around and started driving to this new satellite affiliate. On arrival the building complex had no visible legal address that I could find, I had to go by GPS and counting from other addresses on the road. Some of the signs were in english, so I had that going for me. There was no signage for Canpar. I called their support line for some help. A solution for locating where their affiliate was resulted in a call back, since they has to do some searching themselves where it might be. The furthest I got with the call back was it was a courier business located in another business somewhere in that complex. At least I had the complex right. None of the english signs had the affiliates name or ever a CanPar logo. I was going to start going from store to store asking, or hopefully coming across this affiliate, but fortunately came to my senses before I reduced myself further this hide and seek game Canpar was playing. I called the support line again and I had the package returned to the shipper.

So instead of the worlds worst courier service, they're handing it off to gas station workers. Honestly Canpar is the reason I stopped buying from Canada Ammo. Its that bad where I live. I have pretty much a 2 week window after the delivery date, after the sorting facilities lose track of it, after it goes MIA with a delivery guy that doesn't answer his phone and they have no idea where this guy is with my guns and ammo in his van, he randomly shows up. Way past delivery date. Now my package will be left at a gas station. I'll wait to hear from others before I place an order.

Will they be servicing Yellowknife? You guys have to use Loomis to get me my ammo now (and my order from 9 days ago STILL hasnt shipped btw!)

They and DHL Loomis have been doing this for some time now at our local pharmacy. Way better for me (who lives way out of town and gets courier deliveries to a friend in town) This way I don't have to wait to meet the courier.

It might take a trip or two to figure out your local procedure, but mine is like this:

Me: "Hi, I've got 4 packages from Canpar,

Them : "Okay, here sign this, I'll go get your packages"

Me: "They are really heavy, I'm already parked in the loading bay, I'll meet you there"

;)

Canpar has been mostly great for me. They lost track of one shipment, once. Considering I get dozens of packages, that's ok.

No problems here with Canpar. I always route my packages to work.
Fortunately I have an agreement with my boss and the shipping receiver is a friend/shooter.

I'm guessing your in the same area as me.

I'm on the other side of the country an I concur.

I thought CanAm would use Canada Post for packages that don't contain ammos (that's the only thing they can't carry), or at least for packages that don't contain guns or ammos, but last time I ordered 3 mags and CanPar delivered those. Luckily I was still home when the delivery guy arrived. If I miss the delivery guy I might as well call them and ask them to ship me my stuff by any other courrier.

Honestly canam, any package that doesn't HAVE to be shipped by canpar should be shipped by any other way. I understand you don' have a choice for ammos, but please, if you can avoid canpar, do it. UPS, Canada Post, FedEx, Purolator are all fine. DHL blows as much as CanPar.

CanPar and DHL are both targeting the Buisness to Buisness market, not the consumers. They basically expect you to be available at 11:00 or at 14:30 to receive a package. That's ok if you're a buisness, but completely unreasonnable if you're the average 9-to-5er.

canpar is much cheaper, but you can request post when you order.

I just put a order in yesterday, can I still request it to be sent by Canada post? My last package through Canpar in April had to go back to one of the other sponsors and be resent by Canada post.

Can Par here in Prince George is alway awesome, I usually get your packages in 24 hrs of shipping! To be fair Vancouver is 8 hrs away tho :p Only frustrating thing is when they show up super early and I have to haul in crates of ammo to my room.

Since I started shipping to my work the packages show up abit late tho, not sure why? Not a big deal, nothing makes a work day better then getting a new rifle. I hide in the back office and play with it for afew hours.

Last few months I stopped buying as much because of the dollar but I still placed 3-4 orders through your guys since January during sales. So I had that to look forward to at work!

Can we request for anything? I guess anything except ammos?

You guys must have great prices with canpar. For the average Joe who ships 3-4 boxes/year, nothing beats canada post.
