Who's got a Beretta 70 series with a shortened (restricted) barrel? Let's see 'em!

Success! Courtesy of Moe and Beretta Girl's 107mm barrel:

And for some perspective:

Looks pretty good if you ask me. Thanks Moe and Beretta Girl!

Thanks jacotsmith for posting the pics. One day I will be successful with computers and figure out how to upload pics. That poor Beretta never gets a break. Every range trip that little guy slips in the case and is run 1-2 hundred rounds. It is one reliable gun. Even the venerable 10/22 does not hold a candle to this guy for reliability.

Well, it sure took me long enough but I found a 71 in decent shape for a decent price, shipped it off for a trim, bought some fancy schmancy grips and took it out the other night to finally shoot it! I must say it was worth the wait. I can see endless hours of fun with this little guy. Now all I need is a holster!

And with its big brother for some context...

Thank you everyone for sharing!

Very nice. Welcome to the club. At least it's not a Glock ...... lol I had to.

And nowhere near as creepy either ;)

Although somehow with the fancy grips, the barrel chopping and shipping around the country it ended up costing me more than a quality previously enjoyed tupperware platform firearm I recently purchased off the EE from someone in NB!

I'm the person that bought it. Really nice firearm!
This is what it looks like now.

Just sold it...

Here's a shot I pulled off the interwebs of one with a thread protector, wonder if it is Canadian legal/does the protector count as barrel length:

Anyway, I'd love to see real Canadian examples of what's out there. Would also love to hear what it cost you to chop her down.

Thanks team!

That looks sweet! The thread protector would not count towards barrel length.

Maybe a little off topic, but is it possible to put a longer barrel on a prohibited 70S and have it reclassified to restricted? If so, any recommendations for such work.

Barry at Bits of Pieces offers prohibited to restricted extension / conversion but it might be cheaper to just buy a 6" barrel and cut it down
