Ammo plant and die confusion (hornady issues)

Warning I am a newbie with reloading.

I just bought an ammo plant, built it and, everything seems to be working fine mechanically. What I am confused by is that it only has five die holes, and it's almost like I need 6. 1st: resize-de-prime die, 2nd spot powder loader, 3rd spot powder cop, 4th bullet feeder die, last seating/crimping die, that leaves me with one extra die the flaring die. Do I really need this or does the bullet feed die replace it? (the bullet feeder die is on order, thought it came with the press). I was able to set a bullet on a dummy run and press it with out flaring it, it just took a bit to balance it.

Here's a pic of the setup options for the lock n load ammo plant.
If your using a 3 die set you can't use the powder cop the middle one would be the setup for you.

My one dies is a seating/crimp die. The extra one is an expander die, maybe if I said the proper name first things would have made sense lol. I don't see the expander die in any of the set ups in the picture, are they optional?

Thanks

Thee is also a universal expander available out of a company in the states (no known Canadian distributor). I'm not sure how good they are but they've been around for a while. Eliminates buying PTX expanders for each calibre.

I reload for 9mm and .357mag on a Hornady L'n'L press, and this is my setup (12 o'clock being position #1, going clockwise):

(feed empty case)
#1 Full-length resize and de-prime
(seat new primer)
#2 Case mouth expander
(nothing)
#3 Powder drop
(nothing)
#4 - empty - (using it for visual check of powder, it could be used for a powder cop)
(feed projectile)
#5 Bullet seat/taper crimp
(eject complete cartridge)

The powder through expander is included in the bullet feeder die.
You don't need to purchase them separately.
