Re-serializing frame

Hi all,

I have a Norinco project gun that I plan to have Cerakoted. Unfortunately, the serial number is light and won't likely survive bead blasting. I'd like to get the existing stamping deepened or have the serial number replaced somewhere else on the frame.

I talked to a couple of local gunsmiths and neither are set up to do it. One suggestion was that I send it to Dlask, but his shop is pretty booked up right now - especially for such a small job.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Who's doing the Cerakote? If it's someone like Tac Ord, maybe they could do the Sn for you.

Yes, stop over thinking the matter.
Leave the existing serial number alone.

Do the job.
If the bead blasting fades the serial number to where you can't actually see it at all, then just get a couple numbered/lettered punches and hammer the same serial number back into the frame.
Then just cerakote the frame.
Should be fine.
