So I have a 2 year old Remington 597, it is currently in Quebec getting serviced for defective internal rifling, I have to admit I took it on at least 5 range trips at $20 a pop, thinking I was the problem, or the scope, or scope mount's anyway, I found my Ruger 10/22 was crushing my poor Remington(accuracy wise) and then realized the twist internal rifling stopped 6 inches short of the end of the barrel and went straight, the question is has anyone else experienced this, and did they take care of you? I am considering making another Remington purchase the 783, and for all my troubles they let me have the $40 rebate that's already expired...

No rifle in such a condition could shoot well and is definitely a warranty case for barrel replacement if I've ever heard one. My 597 of 16 years has been just fine so no experience myself with Remington warranty. How long has it been at the repair center?
