Best single shot trap gun

I don't know what the best single shot is. Probably the most common is the BT99. Usually see lots of them at the big trap shoots as well as the usual Perazzi's, Ljutics etc. I have a Frigon that I shoot from time to time that works pretty good for me although its far from the best single shot trap gun.

Damn, I made the mistake of googling Remington 90T. Now I have to find one.

I have to say IMO one of the best single shot trap guns I have ever shot is a TM-1 Perazzi which is why I just purchased one I found for sale at a shoot recently. I have tried several ftiends TM-1's over the years and they handle and shoot like a dream and last forever if cared for properly.
As Beretta687EELL pointed out the Remington 90T HPAR is one tough customer of a gun but the name is kind of misleading. The only thing on it that is Remington is the name. They were built for Remington by Kolar in Kolar's early years and anyone who knows trap guns knows Kolar guns are synonymous with outstanding quality. I tried a 90T shortly after they're introduction, at the 88th Grand American in 1987. Unfortunately I was young and dumb and could not see the worth in spending that kind of $ on a single shot. Oh to go back in time knowing what I know now.
However I still prefer the TM-1's handling qualities. Its smooth as silk to swing, points like a dream and those Perazzi chokes just seem to absolutely crush targets.
BT-99's are a nice little gun but they are no P or K gun and as such do not handle like the P&K guns.
Thats my .02 for what it's worth.

There is an absolutely gorgeous custom engraved 90T HPAR for sale on trapshooters.com

That's a nice one. There's also a fair compliment of Perazzi TM-1's, Krieghhofs and quite a few more high end single barrels. The trick is to get them across the border for a reasonable price.

Speak with Clay at Prophet River. He imports a few guns every week from the US for customers. You just point out which you are after and he can import it. Charges under $150 for the import service.

Did someone say TMX?
TMX Special, 34 inch barrel, 40 thou fixed choke. Soft Touch recoil reducer in the stock. soft shooter and can really hang smoke.

Bought used 2 years ago from Jaquas and imported by Prophet River. Love this gun!
Very nice. I came close to buying one but lost interest in trap when I started to shoot more sporting. Bought an MX8 instead.

I see a used one for sale on another forum. What are your thoughts on it? Do you think it helps?

It's like any training, you have too keep it up and I freely admit I haven't done that with mine and I've not been able to shoot anywhere near as much as I want due to health problems with elderly parents. That makes it hard to really talk about increase in scores

I've had it less than a year, but when I was using it last winter my moves felt smooth and it was a good excuse to get the gun out of the safe on a winter day. No regrets buying it on this end. If you can buy one used, have room for it, go for it. You can always sell it for almost what you paid for it

The very best single barrel trap gun I had was a Krieghoff KX 5.
It was best for me because I shot more 100 straights with it than any other gun, and it was very durable. Service was wonderful on the single time that I needed it.
My trap guns are now long gone since becoming addicted to the Sporting Clays game 3 summers ago.
