Tikka CTR magazines- eta?

I have not seen any actual evidence that there are any plans to produce a CTR-specific magazine. Jut a lot of internet speculation. Tikka CTR's ship with Sako TRG magazines and I doubt there are any plans to produce a cheaper magazine just for these guns.

Interesting... Thanks for the link. Yeah, one of my CTR's (the stainless one I think) came with the one of the plastic booted mags. I'll have to look closer at the two different mags and see if I can see what makes one $100 more than the other! They both look the same to me other than the boot. I wonder how they plan to stop TRG owners from buying these for their TRGs? Or does the plastic make it so it won't fit into a TRG?...

TRG mag (seems to be the same mag only $100 more expensive):

No, the first ones did, I have had both a first and second gen ctr, the second gen comes with its own mag specifically designed for the ctr

Well I'll admit that I haven't had a chance to take my stainless CTR out of the safe since I bought it, but maybe tonight I'll have to grab a magazine from each and compare them. At a glance, they appeared identical other than the plastic boot.

people had issues with the trg mags falling out/not locking up tight, the new mags are a tight fit in comparison.

the plastic prevents them from being fully inserted into a trg and i don't have a trg22 to see if the new ctr mag will even go in the mag well

The rear internal wall of the newer CTR magazine also has a noticable curvature.

I was told that Tikka redesigned the CTR mag so it would not work in the TRG (without modification), it now becomes a civilian firearm accessory instead of a military item exempt from tariffs and duties for weapons. This allows them to get it out at a lower pricepoint, which was the biggest complaint.

Beretta USA says to call Stoeger. BUSA requires a US based shipping and billing address. While that previous line will cause some eyes to roll anticipating another sixteen posts about importing parts, if Brownells carried said parts at the listed online price, they would ship to Canada in accordance with current ITAR standards. You could even get two in one shipping box.

Ah yes. When you look at the TRG with the mag inserted, it makes sense. Thanks!
