So I am ordering a new Leupold VX3i 2.5-8x36. I have two reticle options, the duplex and the Boone and Crockett.

Has anyone shot the Boone and Crockett reticle and is it worth the exrta 150$?? Seems like it is an alright system but I am not sure about it. Anyone with personal experience would love to hear from you.

Thanks, Trevor.

Kind of nice to play with but only works on one power. And then it's not exact unless you play around a lot with ammo and scope power setting . For hunting your better off keeping it simple eg set 0 at 200 aim 6" high at 300 no mater what power your on
So duplex and $150 ammo to practice with

And Dogleg has killed more animals than most people will ever see. I've never used the B&C reticle but if he says it's good then I'm inclined to trust him.

The B&C is an excellent reticle, I'm not a fan of scope adjustments in the field unless absolutely necessary. I prefer the "set it and forget it" method.

The added bonus (in my mind anyways) is the B&C is a glass etched reticle vs the wire of a standard duplex.

6" high at 300? How far are you shooting?
