Time for a double. Verney-Carron or Merkel???

If aiming I fire the front trigger first but if I'm shooting at a running target or a snap shot I fire the rear trigger first in mine. That's just me though and mines only a 45/70
 
I have been lusting (and saving) for a double in 9.3x74R for the past 3 years. I've downsized my collection and made a spot for a double. I've narrowed down my choices between Merkel and Chapuis, and it won't be long now. :) I will be spending several weeks in Namibia as a retirement gift to myself.
