ACR Media and Info Thread

I feel dirty posting in the ACR thread ;).

Anyways, I've heard of this guy with a ACR in 7.62x39. He's having an issue with hard primers and not enough hammer spring.
What's his fix?
He can read this but not reply, cause he was bad.

Happy to finally post something in here, this project has been a money pit for the last 6 months. ;)

Used ACR went to Ian and came back with SS Krieger, 1:8, 223w chamber, HBAR profile forward of the gas, factory FH recycled.

Ditched the factory folding stock for a fixed unit, fits me perfectly. As a south paw, the hinge on the folder was really uncomfortable against my knuckle.

First mount I tried obstructed the charging handle, the Larue seems like it should work. I burned hours trying to decide on an optic until Prophet River made it easy with their last Nightforce sale.

Before I mounted the optic, it didn't feel heavy at all, but it does now.Likely going to be slung when not at the range.

Next step...shoot it!

Hello Bushmaster, er masters. I was thinking buying a friends 16" ACR enhanced. How much do you think it would it be to make it NR?

I have had Herron do all mine, both the 450 and 7.62x39 have chromoly barrels on them. The 450 is under moa, the limited testing I have done on the 7.62x39 suggests it will be close to MOA which really surprised me.

Currently he is doing a 30rem AR for me with a custom bolt built by himself with a stainless barrel, I expect it to be as good or better accuracy wise than the 450. The round also shows a lot of potential as being close to 308 performance (up to about 400yds) but in the much smaller platform
 
One thing I found with the 7.62x39 is the mags (Cproducts XCR pistol mags) come unseated when shooting from a rest (bag under foreand) but stay locked up when the gun is fired unsupported.

anyone run into this?
