Joined the Tavor club. Got a couple questions

I used to run a Specter Dr on my tavor , the aimpoint pro is much better suited for the job.

I went the opposite direction; I just sold my 2 Aimpoints (Pro & T2) because of compatibility issues with my eyes (astigmatism), and I've just Elcan'd the Tavor. :)

Just order it from Brownells and save some money :)

Wouldn't a trigger pack be ITAR controlled? My last 2 orders from Brownells (flash hider & shotgun mag ext.) were put on hold because of ITAR restrictions.

I removed my DR from my tavor and I put it on my iur instead, much better fit.
I put an acog on the tavor.
I have an extra acog waiting around for a rifle, but I havent decided what to buy yet, absolutely going to be an NR rifle though.

my aimpoints I leave them on my super light rifles that I dont need to reach past 200 yards, like my ARs since they are range restricted or my cz858 whos at best a 4 moa rifle.

I prefer an eotech/magnifier on my tavor myself. I have had red dots, short dots and what not, but I always end up going back to my eotech setup. Though having said that, I may invest in another vortex sparc for my tavor. My God I loved how light it made the setup.

What makes you prefer the acog on the tavor over an Elcan?
In all of the reviews I've been reading the Elcan comes out above the trijicon. I've been leaning towards the Elcan OS4 for my Tavor. Currently still have a Sparc on it.

wasnt a good fit for me on my tavor, acog is much much better. I use a green horseshoe reticle, its really good.
I still have my dr, its on one of my ARs and its much better there
optics are a very subjective thing

Funny, I also started out with a DR on my Tavor, but moved it to my HK. Ran the Tavor with an OS4 for a while, and recently switched it out for a TA11 ACOG as well. The Elcans were great on the Tavor, but I too prefer the ACOG on it.

The OS4 is a good choice for the Tavor. Cheaper than an ACOG, and comes with the QD mount. It really is personal preference, and it really depends on WHICH ACOG you compare the Elcan to. The TA11 is amazing. I've been underwhelmed by several other ACOGs over the years... I'd go Elcan over most other ACOGs.
