Im thinking of buying a Sig P226 in .22 cal and then later add 9mm conversion kit. Has anybody done this ? some sale staff have said no others have said yes you can??
Thx for your thoughts!

The only issue you're likely to have is finding a centerfire conversion kit...they seem to be pretty rare.

Yeah, it is easier to find the 22 x-change kits. Though if you are in no rush they can be found. Just make sure it is a 22 classic and not mosquito if you go the 22 route. The frame on the classic will take the x-change kits, the mosquito will not.

I bought the classic 22 then the 9mm conversion because it was a little cheaper that way. I had a few dealers tell me that it couldnt be done or was unsafe, but sig's website says you can.

The centerfire kit was tough to find.

Also, the first 22 classic had some issues failing to fire regardless of the ammo used so I exchanged it and the replacement ran like a top. Im sure most work perfectly, but it seemed worth mentioning.
