Just wondering, What do you guys consider a fair price for a VZ58 with a wood stock. Haven't seen many forsale. Consider the gun is in excellent shape, and stock being surplus may have a small crack on handguard that has been repaired.

Vz58 rifle should be around $900 bucks and a wood set right now from wolverine in $200. So if there's damage to the wood I would say $1050 for the rifle maybe more if it's chrome lined.

Bullseye's listing at 1299 for a new one, that may or may not need to go in have work done to it, with 200 for surplus wood and taxes and delivery would put you at about 1700 to get one to me here in Saskabush so 1050 would be a steal!! I wouldn't let mine go for $1050!!!!

**Edit**
Further looking around shows prices from 1179-1499 depending on caliber and if it comes with an adjustable stock, fixed stock and in the case of Tradex they include a surplus bayo that they also sell on its own. So, $900 seems low for a new one, may even be a bit light for a minty used one considering nobody has any in stock!!!

Used is used and new is new

Absolutely, and supply and demand sets price as does new selling price, the non chrome lined 7.62x39 rifles were 900 dollars 3 years ago. They are not anymore! That drives up the price of previously enjoyed rifles as well.

Used is used and new is new

I didn't see any Wolverine CZ858's going for more than they paid for them on the EE, guess the demand isn't there. I'd rather have the 858 than CSA.

Don't think wood furniture adds much value, but it makes it desirable to some. Hard to say until you try to sell it.

I got a new CZ and VZ so im thinking my VZ may need to go one day. It still gets allot of use so i'm in no rush. Ill probably just keep the wood stock and sell it seperately when I can part with it, Maybe.

There a used 858 in EE for 900 shipped and it's been on there for a week......a few guys are listing bnib 858s from wolverines last sale for 1200 and they arent selling...the vz58s are about 900 to 1050 used......if you don't have one grab one soon....they will only go up in price further like anything else.......for the wood stock I'd grab one off eBay as it comes with hardware and I paid 168$ CAD to my door......about a month to arrive and you save a little money and get hardware compared to wolverines price

I got my wood stock it the same place. Good deal, But I won't ever get a wood stock anymore. The wood is to thin on the lower handguard and I had to repair a crack already. Sure looks nice tho, to bad I use by VZ all the time making it useless imo . It already came off and the beaver barf is back on. I cant deal with having to take care of the wood once a week when cleaning, at the same time I feel plastic stocks bite my cheek more.

If you want new, thicker wood - get IWD wood out of California. I think they're around $225 US + shipping. Way better than the surplus stuff that was for sale under $100 a couple years back. It's newly made, thicker UHG/LHG, longer pistol grip if wanted... way better stuff. Of course for better stuff - it's more expensive.
