Does this air rifle help one shoot a bench rifle better?

Well I had one of these kits installed on my .25 Airforce Condor and I have found I just shoot this platform more and more.

Shooting this just has helped me get my trigger pull and breathing down pat. I can shoot this airgun at friend's acreages and what I am saving in ammo and gas, really is paying off.

Anyways have a look, like I said I find shooting 25/50/100 meters seems to satisfy me as much as shooting my bolt actions at 300 and 500 meters, guess trigger time is trigger time. :)

I have a 177 Optimus with the High Power Kit installed. It shoots the same as a 22rim fire up to 100 yards. Its the same as shooting a rifle. Your getting cheap"trigger practice & breathing practice". I get 1015 FPS . And If I diesel it it,.. 1102 FPS. It will penetrate wood at 100yards no problem.
A lot of people "under estimate " an air rifle. Mine will fly through 3/4 plywood or 2x4 like nothing at 25 yards.

I used to do that as a kid with my Telly air rifle, but power is noting without accuracy, especially when dieseling eventually destroys the main spring and seals.

Unfortunately a .177 pellet just is too unstable at longer ranges. Me and buddies have opted for PCP air rifles that are charged from a scuba tank and as well we use .25 pellets, and yes my Condor burns thru gophers out to 150 yards. :)

Find farmers have no issues when I ask if I can shoot a pellet gun on their property as opposed to my powderburners.

Your right. You have a Mean set-up. Mine wont hold a candle to yours. Very impressive results at that distance.
The 177 wanders pretty good past 100 yards like you said.
I have dieseled mine over 500 times with No issues. The "kit" I installed is Super high performance".

What is the muzzle report like with your setup RH, I know my .25 Condor is loud? Like 22 Mag loud with a standard Lothar 24" barrel.

I had a high end beautiful Webley springer, but when I shot a Condor I sold it.

I wanted a powerful air gun that I did not worry about rusting and dings, as I walk gopher fields.

A springer will never come close to PCP ever, as the mass required for a piston to create enough power rips scopes apart.

Been 10 years now and my Condor is my go to air gun and have many friends who followed my way and have Condors.

If I get the urge for wood and bluing I pick up my Anschutz.

Shooting an air rifle gives you a ton of trigger time, and because of the low recoil you will not develop a flinch. Many who go out and pick up a 7mm rem for their first deer rifle can develop a flinch rather quickly, tons of trigger time helps you master the expected recoil in a relaxed fashion, with proper hold and follow thru, as opposed to a tense death grip.
