New Turkish HiPower and 1911 Clones on the Market!!!

The HP could be interesting, but at that price point for the 1911's, aren't there much better, proven, 1911's out there close to this price range?

Ahh you beat me to it. I really want to get a Hi Power, but the price has been steadily going up in the past few years. I mean Cabelas has some for sale for over 1300$! I probably won't get on until late next year at the earliest.

How would this one compare to the Mark III? I know it'll accept a standard Hi Power magazine, but is there a catch? I'm dying to know.

I'm with you on this point. And what's with a rail on a HP. A no go for sure, IMO.

I had to look back 3 times... Can't see a rail..

I could have picked up a lovely minty HP Standard with target sights for $800 last month at Cabelas. Have one already so someone else got an awesome deal on it.

This is far too much for a Turk gun. FN ones are out there, for the patient folks.

Still I'd like to know if they've done away with the idiot magazine disconnect and have a halfway decent trigger. Stock FN guns are weak for those 2 reasons alone.

A friend of mine got and sold a beautiful one for 700 on the EE.

Lets just lobby for Arcus.

Likely well made,, Turkey has a VG reputation for making quality guns like the CZ Shotguns. I wish the 1911 would lose the rail. Not interested in buying yet another holster. Maybe there is a none railed version in the works.

Take Care
