I've got a new rifle of the way and am looking to get hold of a variety of target 22lr ammo. I've been able to find lapua/sk and eley, but can't seem to find any RWS.

Anybody know where to find this stuff? What do you think of it compared to the other 2 major target brands?

RWS makes excellent ammo. Like Eley and Lapua, RWS is available in different varieties, some not so expensive and some quite costly. RWS R50 is top notch match ammo. Try Target Shooting Products to see what they have available.

Yes. You can buy the excellent RWS R50 here: ht tps://www.tesro.ca

Thanks guys. I actually had talked to Peter, and he was very helpful. He has the R50 in stock right now, but little else. He's expecting a shipment in about a month, but I was hoping to find something sooner.

From what I've read, the R50 sounds like great ammo, but at this point (I'm fairly new to 22lr target shooting) I'd like to keep it in the $100 per brick range so I can get a lot of practice in without breaking the bank.

Looks like a may just have to wait patiently for the next shipment to come in.

Try Lapua Centre X its works the best for me and at $120 a brick it a lot cheaper than RWS50.I've had so so results from any rws.Your going to have to find out what your rifle likes.I also have a brick of Midas + and my match 64 doesn't like it.
Closest distributor to us on the west coast is Prophet river.I buy all my Lapua and SK from Clay. You can also get a few kinds of eley from reliable in Vancouver.

Federal Target imports RWS R50 and market it under the Federal brand and it is around $20.00 per 50.
The new Cabela's in Abbotsford has it so you might try the Nanaimo store or order it in.

I just got some of the lapua Center X and I am very happy with the results. I was even happier when if switched to a bulk can of the lapua "magazine" it has exactly the same ballistics (from my gun ) as the 2X the $ stuff and shot every bit as well. the bulk 'practice' stuff is really something and the price is right too.

what does this have to do with R-50? nothing other than I have not tightened my belt and bought a brick yet, I have been trying any thing but that, and the very expensive Eley as the driver of the gun still needs work too!
good shooting to you all

Glad to see the center x working for you. It sure depends on what the rifle likes. My new Anshutz MPR likes the newer sk std plus, which is almost half the price of center x.I did manage to snag a brick on the federal gold medal match which I believe is rebranded RWS 50 for $129 from cabelas on a flash sale.

As mentioned Canadian Tire. My local store has RWS50, RWS100 and RWS Target. My CZ loves the Target which is nice as it is the cheapest of the 3 :)

I was fortunate enough to purchase 10,000 rounds of RWS Championship Edition from Peter, at a great price, as my Volquartsen shoots it very well. My Cooper prefers SK Standard Plus, and my Anschutz 54MS-R shoots both quite well. I purchase my SK from Prophet River.
