Any updates on Troy Sporting Rifle (PAR)

So we are limited to 5 rounds with this rifle? Assuming we are lucky, and they fit, we can use the 10 round XCR-M (7.62x51) pistol mags at best.

Oui. AR-15 magazines for the 5.56 or 300 BLK versions and SR-25 or DPMS type mags for the 308 versions, as far as I know. I've been wrong before though. I'm looking forward to trying out the XCR-M magazines to see if they work. For the 5.56 versions I'm sure Beowulf mags would work as well. So it's not all bad. :yingyang:

I just got mine yesterday. Thanks IRG.

The folding stock is solid metal. It is a bit heavy for what I want. Anyone want to trade me the non-folding one if it is lighter?

When did you order? I ordered The 223 National on June 17, I was expecting a 6 week wait. Let's see some pics!

Because everyone wants them. I made an album. http://s1320.photobucket.com/user/holy-assassin/library/PAR National 300 BLK

Didn't get everything I could before the batteries died on my camera.

I did take off the pump rail covers and put on a vertical stock already. That doesn't come stock!

Review:

PRO: flip-up sights.
PRO: weaver rail on the pump stock

CON: bolt release is a pain
CON: I think it could be lighter with a different stock

Good question, because in the states its pinned, but it does not looked pinned in sunborn's photos.

Doesn't look to me that it is pinned. I haven't tried to remove it because if I do, it becomes a restricted weapon:

Folding stock plus not 26" long without flash hider.

Just leave the stock unfolded when you do it then :p

Not pinned. That was the issue on overall length as the lab wanted it pinned or the stock pinned. It was argued that the flash hider counted in overall length not being pinned and won.

That is good to hear.

I am pretty sure that the RCMP did not accept a pinned flash hider. But somehow sanity won out. I mean this is a manual operated gun, not some semi-auto kill-stick.

Even if it was under 26.25" folded the Rossi ranch hand should act as a precedent. It is 24" and is non restricted because if it is manufactured under 26.25", manual action, and cannot be easily fired with one hand it should still be non-res.

That precedent doesn't apply because ... folding stock. Don't hurt yourself too much, just literal interpretation. Won't be a problem with fixed-stock versions.
