The Hi Power copy might be interesting if they offered features that you can't get off the shelf from FN:

-Novak sight cut
-Beavertail frame
-Extended ambi safety, like the Cylinder & Slide one
-Delete magazine disconnect and modify trigger for shorter reset

The above also assumes a quality product having parts interchangeability with the original. As-is, it appears to be a copy of the older version of the BHP (including nearly unusable sights and safety), priced for not much less than a used Browning Mk III, and of unknown (but probably inferior) quality.

For their Hi Power, given that the only other place I knew where it was sold had it for 1300 bucks, 750 is a huge bargain.

A Mark III should sell for right around $1K. You can frequently find very nice older Belgian guns for $600 - at least here you can

Not exactly, but all are fairly common modifications done by gunsmiths who do a lot of BHP work, like C&S, Ted Yost, or Jim Garthwaite. I don't think that the FBI guns typically had beavertails. The Novak Special Ops package was very similar to what was built for the FBI.

The huge Canuck engraving on the slide just looks bad/tacky.
A lot of other good choices in that price range.

Used Hi-Power pricing on the EE has always surprised me a little. They often are listed for what seems like a deal when you consider the MSRP for new models...... Especially compared to other guns that often are listed with asking prices much closer to new pricing. Not sure why that is.....??

The fact that the Philippine made 1911's are a proven product at an attractive price may give these guys some trouble.

We will have to see how they compare, I'd like to see some pics and a range report..or two

Those look fantastic. I'm with you on shooting the Inglis. I've been shooting mine a bit, and getting concerned that I'm wearing it out. Starting to regret buying the extra mags for it, now I can cycle through too fast!
Also looking forward to these being available.

Actually until the dollar went in the crapper there were some decent prices on some pretty good U.S. made guns. The Ruger SR1911 was going for about $700-725 and the Remington R1 was in the same price range. I think there were a couple more as well (High Standard?, etc.). Makes one wonder why, if these guns are coming direct from Turkey, that they are as expensive as the U.S. made guns were.
