I'm a big fan of the books as well. The first movie was good but I still have some trouble with little Tom playing 6'5" 250 lb Jack Reacher.

I just watched the trailer for the new movie.......I wonder if they had to take the wheels off that cop car so Cruise could reach over the roof to shoot? ;)

Ha! I know, right? Nah, they just had him stand on a box I bet. I had some difficulties with that as well though. Apparently Cruise was able to capture enough of the characters swagger and attitude to please the author, as Lee was the one who picked him.

Also, in an unrelated topic, is it me or that a lot of unburnt powder on that still of Tom shooting?
 
Camera tricks. Mirror image maybe. Second image looks to be opposite angle of first photo. He's standing in front of an open rear door
 
I say the same damn thing every time he does another (non Mission Impossible) action flick. "I am NOT a fan of that guy but he just keeps picking good vehicles to star in".

I enjoyed the first one, will see this one too, looks okay.
