Bulge busting

Hey all,
I'm cleaning my first brass here now, I don't have a tumbler so I'm soaking it in boiling water and lestoil, it's getting the outside like new but the inside still looks a little dirty. Will this Matter?
Also, I don't have a bulge buster. The brass has been once fired out of a glock 22 gen 3, there's no obvious bulge to it but it does have little "hips" on it, I don't quite know how to describe it but it appears to be nothing major. Do I still need to bulge bust it? What risk am I running if I just put it through the lee carbide resize/decap die? FYI the brass is a mix of federal, PMC, S&B .40!

The inside being a little dirty won't make any difference. Only going to get dirty again. I've never had any issues with my Gen 3 Glock 22 just resizing with Lee carbide dies. If in doubt do a "plunk test" with the first round or two and I like to do the last round as well.
 
I also have a Glock 22 gen 3 and have no "bulge" problem, the bulge problem was caused by the early barrels and thin cases. The barrel feed ramps were changed and the ammunition manufactures made the cases thicker to fix the problem.

Simply washing the cases as you are doing is good enough and if you update to a tumbler later they will be cleaner but its not mandatory that each case is sparking clean.

As Red Iron said above your barrel is you best gauge and dropping your loaded rounds in the chamber (plunk test) will let you know if you have any problems. A case gauge will save from using your pistol barrel for checking your reloads and these gauges are cut to minimum SAAMI dimensions. Meaning these gauges insure your loaded rounds will fit in any pistol, checking diameter and length.

Below is a example of "Glock bulge" but any type pistol can have this bulge depending on how much of the case is unsupported at the feed ramp.

Below is NOT "Glock bulge" and is noting more than the case expanding in a large diameter chamber and normal sizing will take care of this.

Jeebus. I would not reload glock bulged brass. Resizing may fix that but you've got a serious weak spot. That is one scary photo.
 
RTF2 if you tried to resize the bulged case pictured you would have huge resistance on your press. It will get your attention.

Thanks a lot for all the help everyone! I really appreciate it, and it turns out none of my cases had bulge, just the normal expansion!im almost set up and ready to go!
