Just picked up a Glock 41 Gen 4, and I'm interesting in hearing what you have done to yours in terms of tweaks and upgrades, or your experience with it generally.

(My Glock 21 Gen 4 is now likely to see conversion to a 10mm Auto, so comments about that process would also be appreciated.)

I went with;

- lightened steel striker (lonewolf)
- lightened striker spring
- extra power connector spring
- 3.5# zev tech race connector
- Trijicon HD sights (Orange)
- Solely Canadian holster/mag pouches

Helpful, thanks. Do you think my existing Glock 21 holster (Solely Canadian) will fit the 41?

You will need a G20 Barrel and G20 Magazine for a 10mm conversion at minimum. Technically, the extractors are different, but most of the time the .45 extractors will work on 10mm & .40...........................I got a 10mm extractor for mine, but never needed it. The G21 slide will come back a bit faster and harder as it is quite a bit lighter than the G20 slide. I would not recommend shooting the nuclear 10mm loads for this reason, as all the wear parts will take an extra hard beating due to the lighter slide. The recoil springs are the same, so the only real difference is in the slide weighting.

not to sure, if it is an open bottom holster it should be good.... otherwise i would order a new one specifically for the g41, i got 3 holsters made for mine by solely, regular OWB, OWB w/ surefire x300 and a competion dropped/offset holster (he uses the safariland doh attachment)

I understand a heavier recoil spring would be recommended. Where is the best place to source a barrel, btw?

Generally speaking, when you put someone who actually knows how to shoot behind the trigger, they're pretty much good to go.

Yeah, that is what I am thinking too. Wondering whether a small amount of material removed from the bottom would allow the longer slide to fit, or if I should just go ahead and get another Solely Canadian holster specifically for the G41. I have several other Solely holsters and pouches; its good gear for sure.

I don't know about the G41 but I have a G40. I've owned a lot of pistols. The G40 - with no mods- is absolutely and totally perfect for me. Very accurate, light, manageable recoil even with nuclear handholds, fits my hands perfectly, familiar manual of arms and typical Glock durability. WWIII or a lazy Sunday at the range. If I could only have one, the G40 would be it hands down.

Regarding holsters, the G41 slide has a slimmer profile than the G21...I`m not sure that holsters made for G21 would be the best fit.

IGB G20 Supported Chamber $300

IGB G21 to 10mm conversion barrel - $300 pretty much the same barrel as G20 supported chamber

G21/G20 40 SW conversion barrel - $300 need to use G20 magazines for 40SW

all of the IGB barrels are costly but worth it...................................................

A lone wolf G20/G21 adjustable recoil spring would probably be useful as well.
