I pulled a Kelly

Ordered some PRVI brass in 7.62 x 39 , didn't ask if it was box or berdan primers.

What is it?

Not sure if they are all the same, but the .375 H&H I bought was boxer primed......

I would be very surprised if it was berdan primed as it's very rare to find any as unfired brass. I don't know if PRVI makes small and large rifle primer brass though so I'm not sure which size you'll get.

Why is that unfortunate?..... Large rifle is he typical primer for 7.62 x 39.....

Remington use the small rifle primer and most cases derived from the 7.62x39 such as the PPC rounds also use small rifle. I feel that I was getting more uniformity with the Rem brass than the Privi although I now have a different rifle and can't be sure.

PMC, Lapua, Winchester, Sellier & Bellot, PPU, nny (Prvi Partizan) and Federal all use Large Rifle. Matter of fact the only ones I've got that use Small rifle are Remington.

I wish I could have told that to the genius who decided to make .45 ACP brass with small primer pockets...
