I picked one up. Seems to be about the same as American pricing. Two left at posting.

I've been sifting through numerous options for an AR optic, and this exact model seems to rise to the top for me because of the features it has. I find myself hesitant though because I've always considered Bushnell a low quality product. Most reviews seem very positive despite one saying it's made in China. So conflicted, lol.

If it's anything like the AR 22 model, it should be pretty decent. I'm very happy with mine.

Thanks Weasel1, always good to hear another opinion from an actual product owner.

edit: I just ordered one, hope it is good quality.

3-12x40, from Amazon.ca, the week before the OP posted the link.

Right now, in the "buying option" it's available for CDN$ 173.79 from Amazon.ca

Yup, I placed my order this morning, damn good price, eager to get it mounted with the PEPR style mount and holographic on top. So far I've used the holographic with a 5X flip-to-side multiplier. If I like the new combo, I may pick up a micro red dot if the existing holographic seems a bit too large.

I originally conceded in my scope comparisons to order a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC on Amazon.ca but it was from a new U.S. supplier that subsequently cancelled the order (ITAR issues?). I was willing to try the Nikon BDC circles even though I was not completely convinced that the reticle would be any better than a solid dot BDC except at those exact distances the circles were intended for. The Nikon is said to have very good glass and eye relief specs weren't too different as I recall.

The Bushnell AR 3-12x40 BDC really intrigued me however. That extra magnification was attractive without being so excessive as to cause exit pupil issues in an "action rifle" 40 mm objective scope. The side parallax adjustment seems immensely more beneficial on an "action" AR scope than a AO design. A 9X scope gets away without parallax adjustment, but it was a "trade-off" I was willing to accept. Bushnell glass has been said to be not quite as good as Nikon in some of the reviews I filtered through. Total scope length was another criteria and I liked the 12" overall length. The target turrets is an added feature that gives an alternate method of zeroing in. I plan on using a PEPR-style mount with a red dot style sight on top but don't think the turret height will interfere.

At the $173 price, I was prepared to go with the Bushnell without much trepidation.

theres fakes on amazon...not saying its the case here but... amazon should let you return it... i actually had an order placed but cancelled after seeing the sellers lack of history

those who recieve one...id check it over well

I highly doubt a Chinese factory would go through the trouble a making a 'fake' $200 Bushnell....

I would have thought the same thing, 'why counterfeit a cheap piece of low end product?', but I was underhandedly sold a counterfeit Tasco of all things by Canadian_Zuk here on the EE, so I guess counterfeiters rely on people just tossing them away once they break since the out-of-pocket loss wasn't that much.
