Well guys I'm having a couple issues with CZ I just bought. The trigger is having some issues resetting, and I can't figure out why.

- the gun will fire one round, then the trigger goes mushy
- at first, I could use my thumb and pull the hammer back a bit farther and it would reset the trigger
- after a while, that stopped working, and the trigger wouldn't reset at all
- if I remove the slide, the hammer and trigger work as normal
- if I put the slide back on the frame, it works fine until the slide goes as far as the trigger bar, then it goes mushy
- if I have the slide off, and the hammer back, it will work- but as soon as I pull the slide past the trigger bar, it goes to mush, even if I pull the slide back off
- to reset the trigger I have to REALLY pull the hammer down hard

The two upper tabs in this picture is the part that is affected by the slide coming back. Up until the slide contacts those two tabs, the hammer and trigger are just fine.

Could be as simple as there not being enough slack on the pre travel and over travel adjustments.

I installed a SA trigger into my own SP-01 and the setup of the trigger was the only thing I had to diddle with.

Bit of an obvious question, but the DA disconnect has been removed? It's the vaguely kidney shaped bit pinned to the hammer ahead of the strut. The trigger bar acts on it.

It's just that when you say that the trigger goes mushy and you can pull the hammer further back to #### it suggests to me that the hammer is neither staying down nor resting in half #### after the gun cycles..it could possibly be resting in DA... I'm not a master of the CZ but I've had mine apart enough times to get a feel for how they work.

Factory safety and hammer are still in it?

Check trigger bar spring for if it worked itself out of grooves in the bar - both sides.
If disco is still there, then bevel its ears a bit:

Yes, the gun is modified to SA only.

There's an adjustment screw on the trigger face itself that I backed all the way out that made the problem lessen somewhat, in that it now makes it easier to reset the trigger by pulling on the hammer. I can pull it back and reset it normally, rather than having to REALLY jam on it

The factory safety was taken out and a rocker version was put in. I think the shadow uses the same one

I think I fixed it!

I tried backing off the adjustment screw that limited the forward travel of the trigger as it springs back after being squeezed, and I can now manually cycle the slide and the hammer drops with each trigger pull!
