I am looking for a scope for a .22 that will be used for gophers and Precision Rifle practice. Two features I am really hoping to get are mil target turrets and a mil dot reticle.

I'm okay with SFP. Magnification somewhere around 3-5x to 10-15x. This is just for a fun gun. I'm not going to lose a match or trophy elk if it fails.

One scope I was looking at was the Primary Arms 4-14x. It has tons of features but it is $450 in Canada and that is starting to push my budget. Is BSA stuff total crap? I have a Sweet 17 with target turrets but I don't use them so I don't even know how calibrated they are.

What would you guys reccomend? I was hoping there was more scopes inbetween Chinese stuff and Vortex Viper's but I can't seem.to find much.

Rimfire Central would be a good place to snewp.
Tasco World Class had a couple out a few years ago that
were around the +$100 mark.
Had one and sold it.
Wuzzint completely happy with it.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I will look into them.

Has anyone used a Primary Arms? I think Canadian Tactical Cowboy has them. It seems a bit nicer than most and would even work on a center fire if it had to.

I have bought and then had to upgrade enough scopes to under stand buy once, cry once so I think it might be worth it to spend a bit more the first time.

There seems to be some luv for Hawke as well.....?

The Bushnell Rimfire scopes are a solid, affordable choice. There are three mag ranges 3-9, 3-12, and 6-18, and they come with 1/4 MoA, .22 LR and 17 HMR calibrated turrets.

Prices are:
3-9x40 $159
3-12x40 $169
6-18x40 $179

Yes but I need mil adjustment turret style knob or it loses a lot of the similarity to the Bushnell ERS you sold me and that's what I am practicing using it as trainer for.
