Specific HVA 7x57 question

The reason I ask is because I've been told that model of rifle doesn't like the heavier bullet but I'd like to know if anyone has actually tried either those cartridges in one.
Also, I hear the European loads are hotter than the American ones.
My Husqvarna 7X57 would not accurately shoot a bullet any heavier than 150 gr. simply because the barrel twist was too slow.
Most bullets heavier than 150 gr. are longer, for instance 160 and 175 gr. so if you can find a short, blunt 175 gr. bullet it might work.
They are a beautiful rifle and as far as I'm concerned that's the only problem with them.

Your understanding is correct, Pat. For some reason, they all came with 1:12 twists. However, they are quite accurate with heavy round nose bullets.
I have owned at least half a dozen of these rifles over the years, and all of them did well with spitzers up to 150 gr in weight. Sold one to a good friend of mine, and it will shoot 160 Partitions close to an inch, but it is the only one I ever had that would.
If the S&B and PPU loads with 173-grain bullets are round nose I'll bet they will shoot that ammo just fine.
