Got it out to the range today for it's maiden voyage. Took a variety of ammo along from heavy Magnum 3" 00 buck to light 2 3/4" 7.5 target loads and also included 2 3/4" 00BK and some Magnum 3" slugs. Ran fine right out of the box with a couple minor glitches:

1. The 2rnd mag wouldn't feed the second round; mag problem, not the shotgun, as the mag follower is hanging up for some reason once the first round is fired. Will have to take it apart and see what's up with it.

2. Fired the 3" Remington Magnum 00BK fine, but didn't particularly like the Federal 3" version as had three FT feed with two different mags.

It did fire the 3" Federal slugs just fine. All the 2 3/4" Remington "Ultimate Defense" 00BK fired just fine. So after 30rds of 3" 00BK, 10 rds 3" slugs, and 40rds of 2 3/4 00BK I tried 25rds of the light Federal 7.5 target loads and each and every one fired just fine - no FTF or FTE's and bolt lock back on each empty mag worked perfectly.

Accuracy? It's a shotgun, it blew up everything in the general vicinity of what I was aiming at. The plastic sights seem a bit flimsy, but adjusted fine and seemed to hold their settings. This version has the front sight moved to the rail from the barrel end, although that one is still included in the kit.

So to sum it worked as expected, with the above couple caveats noted. I swapped out the door breacher for the Modified choke and it worked fine too - stayed in place and I like the cleaner barrel look personally.

2 mags of 2 3/4" Remington "Ultimate Defense" 00BK (inadvertently hit the bolt release early before inserting the second mag)

Cool, glad all is working well. I picked up an extra 2 x5 mags and noticed one was a little tight.
Can't wait to get out there and test things myself.

Wicked!

I don't 'need' another gun, I don't 'need' another gun, I don't 'need' another gun!

Took that problematic 2rd'er apart today and found a bit of plastic flashing on the rear of the follower that was jamming it up - trimmed it off and seems to work fine now.

Haha don't look on EE, don't look on EE....., O no a Derya with Extra mags and everything ; ) shameless plug lol. They are a lot of fun and stupid accurate for a 18.5" barrel.

i put one of these on mine http://www.gptactical.com/en/products/optics-laser-equipment/p17727060.html 3-9X42 USS GEN II, P4 SNIPER WITH MICRO RED DOT FROM GREAT PLAINS TACTICAL.it works and looks good for cheap.i zeroed it for 25 yards and have to aim high, about a foot at 100 yards.standing free hand i got two jugs at 100yards with four slugs.quite delighted with it actually.

Thinking about going with an inexpensive red dot too, no problems with that one standing up to shot gun use?

Bit more money but ALL vortex optics are rated for shotgun recoil.

I have personally used the SPARCII, StrikefireII and the Prism (currently on mine). They hold zero and the bullseye reticle of the prism is no joke for close range and distance slug work.

Put the Derya through it's paces again yesterday at a 3 gun event - never missed a beat with yet another different ammo and modified choke: Score brand 2 3/4" #3 lead shot (much better than lighter target loads for those pesky steel plates - plus it's made in Canada :) ).
