I have to agree with Ike, outstanding event and a lot of hard work obviously went into the planning and running of it. Didn't hurt that I won a shotgun either. Thanks again to both Brians, the fire dept and the club in general. Ill be back next year for sure if it goes ahead.

Amazing shoot guys! I had a tremendous time. Best 3GUN Shoot I have been to. Big thanks to all the coordinators, especially Brian "Brain", and the Saskatchewan shooters who coordinated the bus. Definitely going again next year.

Loved seeing the Saskatchewan guys at the match and I learned some new Saskslang as well. One guy asked me to pass him his chamber flag that was in his "bunny hug". I'm like: WTF is a bunny hug???? Had a lot of laughs hearing that explained to me.
If any of you were with me (I wore the straw cowboy hat) on squad 3 and want the squad picture, PM me and I will send it to you.

I would like to thank the two Brian's and all the people that helped put this together, there were a lot of great stages and it ran smooth. People that haven't ran a match like this don't know how much effort that it takes to pull it off, my hats off to you. Also the Lone Butte fire department served up some great food and that was good to see at a match when you travel as packing food in is a pain. Had a fantastic time on the bus from Sask. and got to bond with our friends from Alberta along the 15 hour journey. Had a blast in the head to head shootout and the final with myself and Grant will be remembered for a long time.

Another great match! I have a hard time imagining there being a better 3 gun match in Canada than this, though I obviously haven't been to them all. Great stages, great field of competitors and an overall awesome experience. Thanks to the Brian's, the Lone Butte Fire Dept for keeping us fed, the sponsors for supporting the match and everyone else involved. Can't wait until next year!

. Great eats put on by the Lone Butte FD, much thanks to the tireless RO's and volunteers. Third time at this match with a great squad of people, those Sask folk can shoot(edit:Albertans too)! I cobbled together a short vid (tough if you hate the song, it fit the video length), I'll try for another, but my GoPro kept cutting out on my longer videos. This one really doesn't showcase the great stage design (love your shoot house, and cowboy action range) and never ending props present at this match every year.

It was awesome to be a part of the shooting community that gathered at Lone Butte Fish and Wildlife club this past weekend. Our squad (3) had the greatest group of shooters from across Western Canada. It was great to shoot with the Saskatchewan guys, the Alberta folks, and the rest of us from BC. We had the best RO's in Geoff and Marlin, (and Grant). They were tireless! I don't know how they did the job they did and then shoot so well , too. Tyler was our hi tech scorekeeper and did a great job keeping track of how we did.
Of course it wouldn't have happened without the dedication of the two Brians! Having helped in a small way setting up the stages I had an insight into the mind of Brian McCoy and how he plans stages. He is a devious man for sure, really pushing us to keep up with his never ending ingenuity and craftiness. The array of props and targets was impressive. We had bird throwers, clamshells, bird flippers, tracked targets, and 10 new AR500 pepper poppers (Thanks Brian Williams, our club president!!)
Oh, and the prize table! I have never seen so many guns given away as I did on Sunday. Thanks to all the sponsors who donated.

It's not bad, but I'm really doing the intricate stages a disservice with that one; Rugerman is quite correct in his description of the deviousness at work in the stage design
. He also mentioned the hi tech scoring which I thought I could expound on a little; a Samsung tablet preloaded with Practiscore for every squad. So simple (after the first bit of trial and error...) and quick. Kudos to whoever implemented that idea.I also loved the 3gun scoring system! Emphasises speed over accuracy maybe (although I may have*ahem*missed a couple of the giant pieces of cardboard a time or three regardless...), but so much simpler to score!

I tagged along with Team White Rice and though I didn't do very well at all, I learned a lot. Hopefully I can apply that knowledge the next time I try it out.
