10/22 Takedown. Alternate stock options?

I find the stock on my 1022TD super long. are there aftermarket options people recommend that will not alter the legality of this plinker?

TacStar makes a glass filled nylon TD stock with an adjustable M4 style stock. Bit on the heavy side and a wider gap than oem where both halves meet, but otherwise solid.

I'm trying to decide between the Tapco & the Tacstar stocks for my 10/22 Takedown.
Anybody have any experience with either of these? Recommendations, pros, cons?

I was recently looking for a TD stock myself and decided on the Magpul, based mainly on shooting a friends non-TD 10/22 with Magpul stock:

I went with a Butler Creek folder and cut it for the TD. I'm still using the TD forestock so it's a little mismatched but it works good.

anybody know where to get aftermarket barrels. i had once seen one with a built in rail so i could use an optic but cannot find it anymore.
