I played with one at the store today and it was very nice. Feels smooth, shoulders good and I believe it will carry well in the field. Am actually looking for the .223 or .300 Blackout version but did come very close to buying this. I just wish it came with some basic iron sights

Does this not qualify as a pump action and being as such, would 30 round magazines be legal here?

This has been talked about at great length. You are correct that a manual action rifle is not limited. You are mistaken in that this rifle is built to use ar mags. The limit is not a function of the rife but rather what the mags were designed for.

You guys should have given an indication that you were getting these in....you could have dumped a lot of em.....every one of us who still have to wait another month or so for our 308 "pre order" would have bought from you in a millisecond...

Not sure if lots of people are willing to pay $200+ more for the same gun just because they don't have to wait 2-3 weeks (In this economy in particular) but to each of their own of course.

I might have to pay a little more, but I refuse to pay all up front to businesses that want to use my money to finance their business on my money and the product is not in country and you have to wait months for!!
Oh did I say I bought one,yup.

I think you just did what you said you would not just in the reverse order. You just paid 200 more to buy the same rifle that's some high interest for 2-3 weeks product financing.

You do not get what I said, in my business I have to either use a line of credit or a loan etc to carry on a business I am not working off the backs of my customers, it is a matter of principal!

Yes and then pass those expenses on to the clients hence the 200 more. Businesses mark up costs or they go broke.

If the buyer will put down the cash upfront it's going to cost less usually. Takes the risk out of it for the business that they might not get the sale in the end.

Just going to point this out. Let's say the gun costs the business $1000....

Why should they order 500 guns at a cost of $500,000...

Especially when they can ask who wants one... get 500 people to pay.... and then Not have any risk.... or have to tie up personal finances... or get a loan to build up inventory.

Ask the original T97 importers how much it cost them the have the shipments held up at customs....

Or ask the CZ-858 importer how much the reclassification ####ed up their shipment and cost then a pile of money... all of which is lost profits.

Pre-sales are the way it is going to go... and I say "whatever makes it easier and more cost effective for our dealers.... after all... less risk means less overhead required... a profit can be made... and in turn prices should be lower as well."

You don't appear to have ever tried to buy a desirable new release import sports car or SUV, or a condo / desirable building lot in a buoyant real estate market. If you had, you'll see that this approach to marketing is the norm. Simple supply and demand economics. There is a premium to certain new releases, and where there is there are folk who will drop the cash and patiently wait.

Some folk like it, some abstain. Different strokes for different folk. However, do not look down on the distributer, he is just merely filling that gap in demand.
