Hey everyone I'm looking for some good 22lr ammo do shoot @ 50 and 100 yards. I was lookin at center x at sfrc. Is there any other good webites for accurate 22lr ammo? Thanks.

Right in your own backyard ,prophet river has sk and lapua. Sk std plus is a good practice ammo at around $6.50/50 center X is a great ammo and works well in most rifles it's $12.50/50.

Gotta run with this one. How accurate are you as a shooter, how accurate is your gun?????????????????????????? Not looking to get flamed too badly here, but that's a question that's hard to answer.

**edit** 2 people responded while I was typing LOL.

^this too. those are very good questions!

I'm sure Center-X will be good, but what about X-act or Midas?

Does your rifle like it? that's the question!

First buy multiple '50 packs' of 'team/match' 'center-x/midas' Match/R50/R100' etc offerings from Eley, RWS, SK, Lapua. then shoot it all and record all your data. (it could like different ammo in the winter!)

I keep it simple and just start with zeroing my scope with some CCI SV, and SK+ and see how it goes from there, then judge what you want to spend on accuracy when you find what rounds shoot the best, then buy a case for that rifle.

Buy some SK Standard Plus. It's good and affordable. While not as "good" as, say, Center X, it'll be better than you 99.5% of the time. Buy as much as you can afford and shoot, shoot, shoot. Practice with a good round like SK + will make you a better shot than even better, more costly match ammo.

(And don't just buy a 50 round box of any match ammo to determine how your rifle "likes" it. You probably need to shoot more than one box to tell, and you'd have to be sure to clean your bore between different ammos and then foul it before testing.)

here is a fun page to visit - 55 different types of ammo tested through a super accurate "machine".http://www.accurateshooter.com/guns-of-week/22lr-rimfire-ammo-comparison-test/
heed the warnings that no two 22's are the same - even if they are the same models. so avoid jumping to conclusions until all the data is in. I have started taking photo's of the targets (I know: nerd) and cataloguing them. it is a much easier way to see and re-remember which gun like which ammo
have fun finding out what it is that your gun likes!
