So, with CA having their Canada Day sale this past weekend, I figured I'd buy a grizzly shotgun. I bought the mag-fed 18.5 inch barrel version. Was wondering if anyone else has one of these? I was checking out youtube for a video or two on it, and it seems the 18.5 must be the least popular model!

I just received mine this week ( with folding stock , 18.5 in ) I am very happy with it , feeds like butter .

This model sold out at father's day sale , so it is not the least popular . The receiver is a copy ( clone ) of the Remington 870 , the shorter barrel lengths seems to be very popular !

For me 18.5 is as short as I what to go in a 12 gauge , but each to his own .

The 18.5 , mag fed with ghost sights and folding stock was already sold out before the Father's day sale , rats , that's the one I wanted , no matter I am very happy with the plain barrel model .

Who knows maybe they will restock for Labour Day sale or Christmas ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, making my list and checking it twice lol

I got one from Canada ammo during their Father's Day sale. 18.5 with mag and folding stock. Haven't been able to try it out yet but for $200 bucks how could I go wrong.

Just got my Grizzly with the ghost ring sights and synthetic stock. The empty magazine won't lock in place and the action will not lock closed with the forestock shoved forward. The supplied manual only mentions inserting a loaded magazine. I'm not about doing that unless I am at the range.
I'm going to call the company to see if there's a fix.
Hopefully I can get it operational. It's a nice looking piece.

If you push the release catch forwards and then insert the mag does it go in? It might just be stiff. You don't need to load the mag to insert it.

Does he action lock closed with the mag out? With an empty mag in the well the follower of the mag blocks the bolt from going forward, depress the follower manually and cycle the action forward. It's like trying to drop the bolt on an sks with an empty mag, you have to hold the follower down or drop the mag plate to overcome the bolt hold open function.

No comment on the mag not locking in, mine has always locked easily whether loaded or not.

I picked up one aswell cant wait to take it out. problem im having is I bought a magpul forearm but it wont slide on it appear to be to small.

The Grizzly forend tube is a few millimeters bigger than the 870. You'll need to go at the inside of the Magpul with a broom handle wrapped in sandpaper.

I finally got time to call Canada Ammo about my Grizzly and the problems it has. Turns out to be a 30 second fix. Seems that when the guns are shipped with barrels unattached, sometimes part of the hammer assembly slips forward of the bolt. This both blocks the magazine and prevents action from locking forward. I removed barrel, slid bolt forward and flipped hammer part back. Racked action back, installed barrel and voila, the thing accepts magazine and locks action nice and tight.
Silly little problem with a thankfully easy fix. Thanks to Canada Ammo for advice.
Regards,
Glen

I finally got to try mine out this past week. I went through 4 boxes of ammo with no issue. Great shotgun at a great price.
