what is one thing you wish you knew before getting into guns?

Buy all of the Colt Pythons (or any snake) you can, don't shoot them, just store them for 30 years and laugh at all of the idiots that bought gold.
 
Wish I had had the sense to get into firearms before the 12-6 status / classification changed. Missing out on some beautiful firearms.
 
  1. Save more money than you think you need, the good ones cost more
  2. Don't buy something that will almost do what you need
  3. Save more money, optics are far more expensive than you thought
  4. Buy it in the caliber that you actually want, don't settle
  5. Save more money, you will want far more guns than you have money for
