What do you guys do?
What are your recommendations?

Step up to a couple of high end coolers, pelican yeti etc?
Dry ice?
Pre arrange a hotel with walk in cooler access?

Genset and freezer in a pinch?

Ayup.

Seen more than one guy with a couple sheets of plywood and a window AC unit, to make a portable cooler for hanging a moose in.

Seen more than one guy with a freezer on their trailer too.

Watch you Provincial regs for any restrictions against processing in the field, if you are going to cut and wrap then freeze for the trip home. Read and follow the instructions provided.

Last 10 day hunt I was on, the SOP was that the guy that shot a critter ran it to the nearest town with a butcher.

We did the chest freezer with a generator on the trailer for a 25 hour ride home
Whole moose barely fit in (in pieces)
Didn't freeze much
Stayed very cold

Oh by the way
Anyone know where I can get a big chest freezer around London area?

If you are hunting in the USA then dry ice for sure. Its cheap, you can buy it just about everywhere, and your meat will be frozen solid all the way home from WY (or NM) to Ontario.
