Out of the blue, about a month ago, a friend of mine offered to sell me a rifle from his collection that I'd long coveted - a Mauser MS350b. Here are some images, for those of you interested in these dusty old relics. :)

Took it to the range last week and shot these two 5-shot groups at 50m using the diopter sight and CCI Standard Velocity ammunition. I'm no great shooter, so was very pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to seeing just how tight it can get with a scope and better ammunition. Thinking of trying Lapua Centre-X next.

Stellar! Very rare rifle in the best condition I've ever seen!
If you choose to be buried with it, I understand completely. If not, send me a PM when you're ready to part with it.

You're front sight appears to be a globe type, is it like this one?

Lol, can't imagine parting with this one. Last rifle standing. :)

Sharp eyes, the front sight is not original. The previous owner, a gunsmith, modified another sight to fit.

I forget what he told me about the original maker (the inserts are Lyman) but you may be able to ID it by the images.

I do have the original blade sight as well.

Wish I had friends like yours. The only .22's my friends have stowed away in their gun cabinets are the crappy mostly plastic type, nothing worth coveting.

Hope 1 day I can add something that nice to my collection.
